WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN THE FELLOWSHIP

Opening my Primer microschool has been the gift of a lifetime. I've been able to become the educator I'd always dreamed of becoming.

Apryl, Liberty City

I'm so grateful to be a part of the Fellowship this year to bring Primer to Ocala. I have spent my entire career WISHING for something like this.

Primer questions, answered
When will applications reopen?
Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now closed. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year will open in mid-2025.
Is the Fellowship remote? Will I be required to meet in-person for anything?
Most of your work during the Fellowship will be in your community, like talking to potential campus locations and recruiting students. However, the regular programming each week will happen on Zoom.
How many hours a week is the Fellowship?
Think of the Fellowship like an evening MBA — you’ll be expected to attend weekly live (virtual) programming and work towards key milestones related to launching your Primer. You can easily participate in the Fellowship while working a full-time job. We estimate the Fellowship will take anywhere from 3-5 hours per week.
Will I work with other educators?
Yes - your Primer will be co-located with two other leaders launching their own Primers in different grade bands, making it easy for families to drop off multiple students in different grade levels at the same location.

The next generation deserves a better education system. If we’re going to get this right, we need more bright, ambitious, hard-working, creative people working on it.
